Utilizing the LoadTrek Pin Board to Aid in Dispatcher Communication

Purpose & Scope

LoadTrek users can follow the steps below to use the Pin Board to post notes and information to assist with dispatcher communications.

Procedure

  1. Left click on the Pin Board icon located in the LoadTrek toolbar.

  2. Adjust the size of the Pin Board by clicking and dragging the borders of the window. Relocate the Pin Board by dragging the window to a new location.

  3. Users can select the number of days back to view messages in the Pin Board. The number of days equals the number of 24 hour periods regardless of the actual date. Ex: If it is currently 10/24/08 at 10:30 and the user selects 2 days back, they will view all Pin Board messages from 10/22/08 10:30 until the present time.

  4. Left clicking the 'Refresh' button will update the Pin Board with any messages posted since the Pin Board was last opened.

  5. Left clicking the 'New' button allows users to post a new message. A white box will appear and users can type the body of the message. After typing the message, users can left click the 'Save' button or press the Enter key to post the message. Left clicking the 'Cancel' button will return to the Pin Board without posting the message.

  6. Users can close the Pin Board by left clicking the Pin Board icon in the LoadTrek toolbar.
